Travel Costs

Support for Doctoral Student Members of the DGMS

The Board of the DGMS has decided to support the Lipidomics Forum 2025 Vienna with:

€300 for long-distance travel (€250 for local travel), limited to a maximum of 20 participants and up to 5 participants per working group.

Requirements:

1. Applications for travel scholarships can only be submitted by DGMS members who are studying at a German or European university or university of applied sciences, or who are working on their master’s, diploma, or doctoral thesis there. Proof of student status must be provided.

2. Travel scholarships are not awarded to members who already hold a PhD degree or members with permanent employment (lifetime positions) in the public sector or industry.

3. Active participation of the student member in the conference is mandatory for awarding a travel scholarship, i.e., presenting a scientific contribution (lecture or poster) related to mass spectrometry or assisting in the organization of the conference (conference center).
Co-authorship of a scientific contribution alone is not sufficient for the award of the scholarship.

4. Documents to be submitted (via Email to schatzmeister@dgms.eu) until July 15th:
a) Application for a travel scholarship (informal)
b) Proof of student status (student ID or current confirmation of doctoral status from the doctoral committee)
c) Type of conference participation

5. The travel scholarship is paid as a lump sum after the conference.

6. There is no legal claim to the award of a travel scholarship by the DGMS.

The deadline is July, 15th.
