Tore Skotland has been working with pharmaceutical R&D in the field of contrast agents for medical imaging for more than 25 years. He has worked with all types of contrast agents (X-ray, MR, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, optical). His main focus has been within biochemistry, metabolism, and bioanalysis of these agents, and he has been author\/co-author of more than 40 published articles in this area.<\/p>\n

Before joining the pharmaceutical company, Tore Skotland worked in basic research in the field of protein chemistry and enzymology for 10 years at the University of Bergen. He was the author\/co-author of 24 papers during this period, 20 of which dealt with dopamine beta-monooxygenase, and 9 of which were included in his dissertation (dr. philos.).<\/p>\n

Since autumn 2009, Tore Skotland has been a Senior Scientist at the Department of Molecular Cell Biology, The Norwegian Radium Hospital, Oslo University Hospital. He is involved in several projects in the field of biochemistry and cell biology, including studies of exosomes as well as endocytosis and intracellular transport of nanoparticles and protein toxins. He coordinated in vivo studies in a national competence-building project, \"Biodegradable nanoparticles in cancer diagnosis and therapy.\" The project received a five-year grant of 30.4 million NOK from The Research Council of Norway and ended in April 2019. Tore Skotland formally retired at the end of August 2019, but he has an agreement with the institute that allows him to continue working as an Emeritus on the same projects he has been involved in over the last 10 years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
